Effective health policy has the potential to improve standards of care and patient outcomes across Canada. At the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS), the development of evidence-based programs and initiatives that contribute to the advancement of cardiovascular health is a priority area. By engaging with a wide range of stakeholders around issues concerning quality, access and appropriateness of care, the CCS plays a strong role in influencing policy for cardiovascular health in Canada.
Our programs and initiatives are shaped by the interest of CCS members, with our strategic focus determined by the CCS Council. The CCS membership provides tremendous leadership and countless volunteer hours to help shape Canadian health policy.
This section contains information about areas of health care in which the CCS actively supports the development of health policy, along with valuable publications and other policy-related resources for clinicians, researchers, partner organizations and governmental bodies.
