CCS 2018 Heart Failure Guidelines: What's New and What's on the Horizon?

The CCS 2017 comprehensive heart failure guideline incorporates new evidence and identifies areas of uncertainty and challenges facing health care providers to offer guidance for practicing physicians. In this presentation, members of the CCS HF guidelines panel will present essential elements of clinical practice needed to diagnose and manage heart failure.

As the most common sustained arrhythmia in patients with HF, AF negatively impacts both symptoms and mortality. The Canadian Heart Failure Society (CHFS) and Canadian Heart Rhythm Society (CHRS) have developed a Mini-Debate Series to tackle three of the most recent, relevant and controversial topics affecting the management of patients with these two coexisting conditions.
